Since its beginnings, the Haus am Hang has been a place for carefree summer holidays with the whole family. Generations of guests associate our house with time spent together, carefree moments and genuine relaxation. Our pool has always taken centre stage - a lively meeting place for children, a place of relaxation for adults and the heart of many holiday memories.

With the new monkey paradise, an additional room has been created that caters specifically to the needs of our youngest guests: a lovingly designed playroom for romping around, exploring and being creative - whatever the weather. And outside, the Seewiesn with its private bathing jetty awaits: perfect for all kinds of jumps into Lake Kaltern, for games on the lawn and little nature adventures by the water.

The surrounding area also offers ideal excursion destinations for families: the imposing Leuchtenburg castle and the adventurous Rastenbachklamm gorge are within easy reach - as are many other favourite places between vines, forest and mountain.

At Haus am Hang, we also live family at the table - with a kitchen that welcomes children and a child-friendly atmosphere full of warmth and freedom.

For children, many things are simply there - and of course included. In the evening, there's a special children's menu so that even little gourmets are happy. Waffles, pancakes and much more that tastes like a holiday await at breakfast. Then it's off or in - depending on what you fancy: in the pool to splash around, in the monkey paradise to play and marvel or in the large garden. Plenty of space to romp, run and hide. And little corners to discover everywhere. This is what a family holiday feels like: free, relaxed and full of wonderful moments

Various retreats with fine loungers in the garden, between palm trees and vineyards, are wonderful places to celebrate family time: playing together, snacking on jelly babies, finding funny animals in the clouds or dreaming of knightly times.

A balanced and healthy diet for your kids is particularly important to us. That's why we focus on fresh, regional ingredients and honest cooking for our children's meals. What's on our plates is child-friendly, balanced - and above all really tasty.

Popular classics are of course a must: Wiener schnitzel with chips or pasta in many variations are also included. A real insider tip is our home-made spinach pancakes, prepared in the regional style and particularly popular with children.

Our proximity to the region is also evident at breakfast: a varied selection of fresh products ensures a successful start to the day.

The Seewiesn is a little paradise for children: swimming, jumping from the jetty into Lake Kaltern, diving to the bottom, playing on the meadow, listening to the willows, snuggling up in blankets and listening to radio plays - a pure experience of nature and freedom.

Our pool is a favourite place for children: playing water polo, swimming, testing the new snorkel, watching small waves or simply lounging on the lounger and relaxing - there's room for exercise, fun and short breaks.

TO THE CLIMBING PARK KALTERN

Surrounded by nature

The area around Haus am Hang offers an extraordinary variety of experiences for families - there really is something for everyone here. Adventurous kids can let off steam in the climbing park in the Altenburg forest or play tennis in the footsteps of Jannik Sinner. At Lake Kaltern, mini golf and the nearby biotope with birdwatching tower await little nature explorers. A special experience is the ride on the Mendelbahn cable car, which takes you comfortably to cool heights.

How about the first summit tour in the Dolomites? The „Grand Canyon of South Tyrol“ - the Bletterbach Gorge, where you can even discover dinosaur tracks - is also exciting. The Leuchtenburg Castle or the Eppan Castle Triangle offer cultural variety. In short: nature, exercise, knowledge and fun - the perfect combination for family time together.

And if the weather doesn't play ball, there's plenty to do: Ötzi is waiting in Bolzano, or how about a train journey to Trento to the Nature Museum? There's never a dull moment indoors either - the monkey paradise makes sure of that.
